Overview
Our UHNW clients are seeking an exceptionally experienced, nurturing and highly discreet Rota Nanny to provide comprehensive, high-level childcare for their toddler.
This is a highly confidential private household appointment for an outstanding nanny who is comfortable taking full responsibility for the child throughout their working rotation. The position follows a 1 week on / 1 week off rota, with 24/7 responsibility during the week on duty.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private household childcare, excellent infant and toddler experience, and the maturity, judgement and discretion required to work within a UHNW environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Time Childcare: Take complete responsibility for the child’s care, safety, wellbeing and daily routine throughout the working week.
- Development: Plan and provide age-appropriate activities, play, reading and developmental experiences suitable for a toddler.
- Daily Routine: Manage meals, naps, bathing, dressing, nursery routines and all aspects of the child’s daily schedule.
- Educational Development: Support early learning, language development, social skills and physical development through engaging activities.
- Travel Support: Be prepared to accompany the family on domestic and international travel where required.
- Household Coordination: Work professionally alongside parents and other household staff to ensure seamless care and consistent routines.
- 24/7 Availability: Provide continuous childcare responsibility during the nanny’s week on, with appropriate rest arrangements within the household.
- Confidentiality: Maintain absolute discretion regarding the family, household, lifestyle and all personal information.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive professional nanny experience, ideally within UHNW/private household environments.
- Exceptional experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Previous rota and/or 24/7 childcare experience highly desirable.
- Comfortable working a 1 week on / 1 week off rota.
- Warm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about early childhood development.
- Highly organised, proactive and confident working independently.
- Excellent understanding of toddler routines, nutrition, sleep and developmental milestones.
- Impeccable communication skills and professional presentation.
- Exceptional discretion and confidentiality are essential.
- Flexible and willing to travel with the family when required.
- Only candidates based in Texas and able to commute to Houston weekly will be considered.
- Relocation package is not offered.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Clean driving record and ability to drive safely if required.
