Role: Temporary Live-Out Housekeeper
Location: Two private properties in the Berkshire area (close by)
Salary: £20 – £25 per hour
Work Schedule: 7 days per week (Monday – Friday 8.5 hours, Saturday & Sunday 6 hours
Dates: 28th September 2026 – 9th October 2026
Overview and Opportunity
A private household is seeking an experienced Temporary Live-Out Housekeeper to provide high-level housekeeping and household support across two private properties in the Berkshire area.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and experience working to hotel-standard housekeeping, particularly with luxury linens, bed-making and the care of expensive fabrics, fixtures and fittings.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is professional, discreet, reliable and confident working independently across both properties.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining both properties to an exceptionally high standard, alongside supporting with household administration, errands, vehicles and pet care.
The position is live-out and will run from 28th September to 9th October 2026, working everyday.
Role Responsibilities
- Cleaning bathrooms to an exceptionally high standard
- Laundry and ironing to hotel standard
- Hotel-standard bed-making and linen care
- Dusting, polishing and vacuuming throughout both properties
- Handling expensive fabrics, fixtures and fittings with appropriate care
- Cupboard and wardrobe organisation
- Deep cleaning as required
- Emptying bins and taking items to the recycling centre when required
- Unboxing deliveries and disposing of packaging
- Maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and toiletries
- Household shopping and running errands
- Liaising with the PA regarding the booking, management and payment of household contractors
- Light cooking and food preparation
- Cleaning three family vehicles
- Re-fuelling vehicles at the private home pump as required
- Daily dog walking, feeding, washing and general pet care
- Cleaning up after the family dogs
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of both households
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Housekeeper within a private household or luxury hotel environment
- Strong experience working with hotel-standard linens and bed-making
- Excellent knowledge of how to safely handle and care for expensive fabrics, fixtures and fittings
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Previous experience with laundry and ironing
- Comfortable carrying out deep cleaning and household organisation
- Confident working independently and managing a varied workload
- Professional, discreet and reliable
- Must be live-out
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Confident driving 4×4 vehicles
- Able to commute between two properties in the Berkshire area
- Comfortable caring for dogs and undertaking daily dog walking
- Flexible and willing to support with household errands and general duties
- Available for the full duration of the assignment
