Overview
A busy Manhattan-based couple are seeking a top-notch nanny to help care for their twin infant daughters. The schedule will Monday through Thursday- the hours may vary but will typically be from 7am to 7pm. The family are ideally seeking a long-term commitment from candidates, to ensure consistency of care for their children. The position will be live-in when out at the family's Connecticut home. You must be local to Manhattan to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare for your shift, caring for the child’s health, well-being, and education, while also being playful and creating an engaging environment
- Maintaining the schedule and routine, planning active and engaging activities
- Planning age-appropriate and developmental activities, play-dates, and outings
- Coordinating schedules for naps and meals, activities, and travel
- Preparing baby food snacks and meals and introducing solids when ready
- Helping girls meet all milestones
- Managing the tidiness and organization of child spaces and belongings
- Child-related light housekeeping when needed
- Coordinating with the other nanny to create cohesive and consistent care
Qualifications
- Ability to navigate involved parents, working solo and as part of a team
- Positive attitude
- Loving and calm
- Energetic enough to care for twin infants/toddlers when time, but also have a calm and centered demeanor
- An educational background in Child Development/ECE or other relevant field
Requirements
- Extensive experience with twins or multiples
- experience with sleep schedules and training
- Recent infant experience
- Driver’s license and ability to swim are ideal but not required
- Team player with excellent communication
- Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certified, or willing to certify
- Legal to work in the US
Salary and Benefits
- $120,000 and up
- Health-care stipend
