Overview
A wonderful couple in the NoMad neighborhood of NYC is seeking a full-time, polished career infant nanny who is fluent in both English and Spanish for their 6-month-old son. The ideal candidate will be seeking a long-term role and will want to grow with the family. The general schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Friday 3pm to 11pm with the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday with notice. Local candidates only.
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- All aspects of full-charge care including feeding, bathing, diapering and always ensuring the safety and well-being of the child
- Follow guidelines for meal prep of purees and solids
- Child-related housekeeping including sterilization of bottles and pump parts
- Adhere to strict hygiene standards, especially when handling baby-related items
- Follow and maintain a structured daily schedule as directed
- Speak to the child in both languages
- Actively engage the child by reading, talking, singing, tummy time, and daily walks.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the child’s progress and be forthcoming about any questions or concerns
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment for the child’s overall development
- Keep track of the inventory of baby supplies and food items.
- Organize and maintain the child’s areas.
Qualifications
- Proactive and able to take direction well
- Discreet, adaptable with the ability to seamlessly integrate into the home with minimal impact
- Energetic and engaging
- Works intuitively and without much oversight
- Professional and polished
- Flexible with the schedule
- Respectful of vegetarian household
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience as a nanny with at least 2 years experience with infants
- Prior experience in a similar role with infant to toddler care
- Comfortable signing NDA
- Non-Smoker
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Up-to-date vaccinations for Tdap, Covid-19, flu and MMR
- Infant CPR certified
Salary and Benefits
The family is offering $35 to $45 per hour DOE, PTO and unlimited MetroCard.
