Overview
A professional family on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is looking for a weekend nanny. This is a Saturday and Sunday role with hours of 7am - 7pm each day, plus one Friday every other week for 10 - 12 hours. For the right candidate, the family can be flexible on the day of week. The family has three children: a 6-year-old girl, 3-year-old boy, and 7-month-old son. A majority of the role is to care for the 7-month-old, but from time-to-time care for all three children at once is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the morning routine for children; breakfast and getting children ready for days' activities
- Tag-team with parents on older children's activities and caring for 7-month-old
- Engage children with age-appropriate play and educational activities
- Assist with evening routine; dinners and getting children ready for bed
- Maintain tidiness of home, not deep cleaning
- Follow the family's vegetarian lifestyle when feeding the children
Qualifications
- Able to work alongside parents
- Experience with all ages, especially children under 1 years of age
- Positive, caring, can-do attitude
Requirements
- Legal to work in US
- Experience with children under 12 months of age
- Excellent references
Salary and Benefits
$35-$45/hr based on experience
