Overview
A dynamic and discerning single executive based on the Upper East Side, NYC, is seeking a financially astute, emotionally grounded executive assistant to provide comprehensive personal and administrative support.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside a principal who is transitioning into philanthropic ventures and intends to establish her own family office down the line. The ideal candidate will bring both operational precision and emotional intelligence — someone with financial fluency, and exceptional attention to detail/ follow through will thrive best in this role.
This is a 3-month temp-perm opportunity, with potential to transition to a permanent, salaried role with benefits.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full financial and administrative audits: Track and reconcile household and personal expenses; Identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings; Prepare clean, actionable reporting across accounts and spending categories.
- Manage communication and coordination with the principal’s professional network, including: Accountants, landlords, business partners, and travel professionals.
- Oversee the execution of intimate dinner parties and philanthropic events (10–30 guests):
- Handle logistics, catering, flowers, and décor with creativity and discretion.
- Maintain operational oversight across multiple households; ensure all details are handled seamlessly.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support as the principal balances personal and business priorities.
Qualifications
- Highly financially literate with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; presentable, articulate, and professional.
- Emotionally regulated, with robust professional boundaries, and a drama-free demeanor.
- High integrity, trustworthy, and confident managing sensitive financial and personal information with discretion
- Operates with initiative and humility — no task too small, no oversight too big.
- Prior experience supporting executives, entrepreneurs, or a family office
Requirements
- Must live within driving distance to the Upper East Side (commute not reimbursed).
- Available for partial in-person work; fully remote candidates will not be considered.
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099) during initial 3-month term.
- Ability to balance discretion, efficiency, and sound judgment in a personal household setting.
- Comfortable handling sensitive personal and financial information with discretion.
- Ability to execute small-scale events and liaise with vendors confidently
Salary and Benefits
- $50+ per hour, commensurate with experience.
- 3-month contract-to-perm arrangement (1099).
