Work Schedule: Full-time, live-in; Tuesday morning to Sunday at 12 pm

Job Description
A high-profile, globally mobile NYC-based family is seeking a highly capable, long-term Live-In Family Assistant/Nanny who can seamlessly combine household management, light cooking, organisational support, and childcare.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced private service professional who thrives in a role where they manage the home independently, maintain exceptional standards, and travel frequently with the family. The household operates with minimal staff, making this role ideal for someone who is proactive, discreet, and comfortable “running the home” with confidence.
Role Responsibilities:
Housekeeping & Household Presentation
- Daily housekeeping, tidying, and full home reset
- Laundry for the entire family, including ironing and steaming
- Linen and towel management and rotation
- Managing household inventory, supplies, and proactive restocking
Cooking & Meal Support
- Prepare simple, fresh, healthy family meals
- Grocery shopping and pantry/fridge organisation
- Daily meal prep and light kitchen management
Household Management / Family Assistance
- Managing returns, packages, and deliveries
- Organising closets, drawers, bathrooms, and storage
- Coordinating dry cleaning
- Running errands (pharmacy, groceries, specialty items)
- Coordinating with vendors and maintenance providers
- Keeping the home functioning efficiently, calmly, and autonomously
Childcare Responsibilities
- School pickup for the school-aged child
- After-school routine support and schedule management
- Managing uniforms, backpacks, activities, and daily routines
- Organising children’s clothing and seasonal items
- Light support with the infant during baby nurse’s off-hours
- Packing and unpacking for children when travelling
Travel Requirements
- The candidate must be fully travel-flexible and able to accompany the family on both short and extended trips.
- Supporting children during flights and travel transitions
- Packing/unpacking and maintaining hotel-level order while abroad
- Handling groceries, snacks, and household organisation in temporary homes
- Adjusting easily to new environments and time zones
- Working discreetly within close proximity to the family
- Being passport-ready and able to travel on short notice
Typical destinations: Greece, Italy, Portugal, London, France; US travel, including Los Angeles, Florida, and weekend trips; extended summer travel abroad.
Candidate Requirements
- Significant long-term experience in private homes
- Strong skills in housekeeping, family cooking, organisation, and home management
- Warm, calm, child-friendly, and highly professional
- Discreet, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Able to work independently and manage all areas of the home
- Fluent English preferred
- Must be comfortable living-in full-time
- Must have prior travel experience with families (essential)
