Personal Household Assistant
Location: New York City (with travel to Long Island, the Hamptons and other out-of-state properties as required)
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday | 12:00pm – 8:00pm (flexibility required, including one weekend day)
Salary: $45 per hour
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Personal Household Assistant to join a prestigious private household based in New York City.
We are looking for a polished, service-driven professional with a background in luxury hospitality who takes pride in delivering exceptional service. Working as part of an established household team, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the residence while providing impeccable support to the principals and their guests.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone coming from a yachting, private household, luxury hotel or similar high-end service environment who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced setting and understands the importance of discretion, attention to detail and anticipating needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional food and beverage service to principals and guests.
- Welcome and host guests, providing a warm, professional front-of-house presence.
- Assist with table setting, meal service and clearing for both everyday dining and special occasions.
- Manage household inventories, supplies and organisation.
- Run errands and assist with a variety of household tasks as required.
- Maintain the highest levels of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Travel with the household to Long Island, the Hamptons and other residences as required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a luxury private household, superyacht, luxury hotel or similar high-end hospitality environment.
- A naturally service-oriented approach with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive, organised and able to anticipate the needs of the principals.
- Warm, personable and professional with excellent communication skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across multiple properties and changing schedules.
- Reliable, trustworthy and committed to maintaining the highest standards of service.
