Role: Christmas Temporary Nanny – Live In
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £20 – £25 per hour with a premium available for key festive days
Work Schedule: 7 days per week (Monday – Friday 12 hours, Saturday & Sunday 11 hours)
Dates: 20th December 2026 – 3rd January 2027
Accommodation: Live-in preferred – own bedroom, ensuite and private sitting room provided
Overview and Opportunity
A private family is seeking an experienced Temporary Nanny to provide high-quality childcare throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
The family have three children aged 7, 5 and 2, and the role will involve a mixture of sole charge and shared care. There will be some natural breaks, particularly around festive days, when the nanny may not be required to work but will be expected to remain on call.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced nanny who is comfortable working within a busy private household and collaborating with other household staff.
Job Description
The successful candidate will provide attentive and engaging care for all three children, whilst maintaining their established routines and creating fun, stimulating activities throughout the Christmas holidays.
The nanny will also be responsible for cooking for the children and supporting with the organisation of their bedrooms and play areas.
Role Responsibilities
- Providing attentive childcare for three children aged 7, 5 and 2, including sole and shared care
- Supporting the toddler with nap routines, developmental activities and age-appropriate care
- Planning fun, engaging and stimulating Christmas holiday activities
- Maintaining the children’s established routines and schedules
- Preparing full meals and snacks for all three children
- Keeping children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, tidy and organised
- Working collaboratively with other household staff
- Supporting the smooth running of the household and remaining on call during agreed break periods
Candidate Requirements
- Proven long-term experience as a professional nanny
- Experience caring for children of similar ages, with a strong understanding of developmental milestones
- Confident, professional and well-presented
- Comfortable working within busy private households
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask
- A genuine team player who works well alongside other household staff
- Confident and experienced home cook
- Full, clean driving licence and confident driver
- Ideally available to live-in for the duration of the assignment
- Available for the full duration of the Christmas assignment
