Role: Sous Chef
Location: Somerset
Salary: £36,000 + Generous Service Charge
Work Schedule: 45 hours per week over 5 days

Achieve Hospitality are partnering with an Italian inspired Restaurant in the heart of Somerset. Their seasonal dishes are influenced by the Veneto and Alpine regions, using locally sourced British ingredients, and is known for its handmade pasta, rustic yet elegant atmosphere, and high standard of cooking.
As Sous Chef you will ensure quality food preparation and presentation for all dishes served, providing an authentic and generous experience every time. Play a vital role in ensuring that all sections of your kitchen are operating to the highest of standard under the guidance of their Head Chef. Leading the team by example you will help develop and retain your chefs.
You’ll be surrounded by a team who care about cooking with quality ingredients and a passion for fresh food, brilliant service and who desire to learn and grow. Their kitchen and front of house teams strive to go beyond for guests and their community in the restaurant, bar and at their fantastic events. Cooking on open fire with produce from their very own onsite estate and walled garden.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a quality restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and motivating kitchen teams.
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to support kitchen operations and deliver excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible approach to working evenings and weekends.
- Interest in Italian cuisine, open-fire cooking and sustainable, locally sourced produce is desirable.
