Situated near the historic seaside town of Whitby, the property combines contemporary luxury with warm Yorkshire charm, attracting both local guests and visitors from across the UK.
They are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join the kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented pizza chef who takes pride in creating authentic, high-quality pizzas using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The restaurant operates as part of a wider hospitality offering, delivering high-volume service during peak periods while maintaining exceptional food standards and guest experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade to ensure consistent quality, smooth service, and excellent presentation standards. Immediate start is available for the right individual, and accommodation can be provided if required.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas to consistent standards
- Manage dough preparation, fermentation, and storage processes
- Operate and maintain pizza ovens safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient management
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade during service
- Support menu development with seasonal specials and creative ideas
- Ensure all dishes are presented to the highest standard
- Follow all health and safety procedures within the kitchen.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo or Pizza Chef in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of dough preparation and pizza-making techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Passion for quality ingredients and food presentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings
- Food Hygiene certification is desirable
- Right to work in the UK
